Across Europe's elections, women are pushing back against the hard Right.

In this public webinar, a panel of renowned speakers join us to talk about issue of vital concern to all pro-Europeans and democrats

2024 is a pivotal year with key elections across the world and across Europe, while wars rage and autocratic forces often seem in the ascendant.

Specifically, Politico.eu warned us on Women’s Day that “For women’s rights, the European Parliament election in June could be a watershed moment - and not in a good way.” In recent years, many of these rights have been taken away or threatened significantly. The stakes are high in the UK as well.

How can pro-European democrats defeat this challenge?

On March 6th the European Women's Lobby launched its manifesto for the #EUelections2024. Laura Kaun, Policy and Campaigns Director of the European Women Lobby said: "If we want to materialise the European project of peace, democracy, inclusion, equality and solidarity, it's time to fully realise that #womensrights are not only a women's issue."

Women can be the most effective peacemakers and agents of change.

Drawing on the experience and example of our brilliant panellists, this webinar focusses on mobilising pro-European support for women's rights and agency in the cause of democracy, peace and progressive change - and how pro-Europeans can make a difference in this year's elections, and beyond.
