We’re a female-led independent funeral directors based in Matlock, Derbyshire, doing things a little differently.

Alongside the work we do supporting families, we’re really passionate about creating a space where people can come together and feel comfortable talking about death, dying and grief, without it feeling heavy or intimidating. These are conversations we often avoid, but we believe they can be really powerful (and even uplifting) when shared.

We run a mix of events including relaxed talks, creative workshops, crafting sessions, arts-based death education and open days. They’re all designed to gently open up conversation, spark curiosity and help people feel a bit more at ease with topics that can feel difficult.

But it’s not all about death and dying, we also host plenty of events that are simply about connection, creativity and community. Sometimes it’s just nice to come along, make something, have a chat and be around other people.

Whether you’re planning ahead, supporting someone else, navigating grief, or just curious, you’re always welcome. No pressure, no expectations, just a warm, open space.
