Experience Kini: Inside the Making of a Designer

Experience Kini is not a traditional runway show. It is an intimate, fully immersive evening inside the creative world of Hawaiʻi designer Kini Zamora.

Throughout the evening, Kini will take guests behind the finished garment and into the process of fashion design. He will sketch, sew, and drape a dress live while sharing the ideas, techniques, and decisions that bring a design to life. Live models and signature pieces from his archive will trace the evolution of his work and reveal the craftsmanship and distinctive point of view behind the Kini Zamora brand.

In conversation with the audience, Kini will share his journey—from building his creative practice in Hawaiʻi to becoming a finalist on Project Runway Season 13 and returning as runner-up on Project Runway All Stars Season 5. He will speak candidly about who he is, how he arrived here, and what it takes to build a career and fashion house from Hawaiʻi.

With a seated dinner, hosted beverages, and live music by Izik woven throughout the evening, Experience Kini offers something rarely available to an audience: a front-row view of the imagination, skill, discipline, and work behind the designer.

Evening Schedule

5:00 p.m. — Doors open and Shop Kini begins
5:30 p.m. — Pūpū and hosted beverages
6:00 p.m. — Seated dinner
6:30 p.m. — Opening program
6:45 p.m. — Interactive runway presentation with live music
7:30 p.m. — Experience Kini: designer shopping, alterations, and custom-work consultations
8:30 p.m. — Event concludes

Attire: Pacific Fashion Forward

Dress for an evening of fashion—polished, expressive, and distinctly your own. Bold silhouettes, color, print, texture, and Pacific and Native Hawaiian designers are encouraged.

Seating is general admission and available on a first-arrived basis.

Parking

Valet parking is available through Kaimana Beach Hotel. Public metered street parking is also available nearby.

Family Admission

Experience Kini is family-friendly, with no age restriction. Every attendee, including children, must have an individual ticket.
