The Jonny Halifax Invocation + Duty Mighty + DJ Psych Milligan

The Jonny Halifax Invocation return.... with their new single of swaggering molten swamp heaviosity.... 'The Heavy Whistler'. A joyous launch party and end of year celebration in one. For those yet to be invocated... expect some heavy genre bending across the simultaneous sonic event horizons of primal shamanic blues, cosmic free jazz and mind bending psychedelic transcendentalism. The Invocation conjur a world of possibility in sound where boundaries, compromise and convenient pigeonholes are scorched for dust. Are you ready to testify?!?

“Geographically based in London, spiritually situated in a Chicuahuan Desert shack, Jonny Halifax wears the look of a man who has seen things only describable through music. Sounds shift in and out of focus, a hypnotic peyote pulse punctuated by twin harmonicas, melodica, and goat horn. Sold out in advance with seekers turned away at the door, there’s real momentum behind The Invocation. The only question is, how high can they go?” (Mark Raison, Shindig! Magazine)

The Invocation are excited to be playing Chats Palace for the first time. This event celebrates the launch of the new single '(He Was) The Heavy Whistler' on Feral Child Records. Support on the night comes from Duty Mighty, featuring the brothers Lynch taking time out from touring with Spiritualised and The Telescopes to bond over acid boogie riffs and thudding beats. Plus DJ Psyche Milligan will be blazing a celestial path through the haze between the band performances. Come join the party!!!
