Garden Explorers is an adventurous group for children and their carers which takes place at Great Dixter, based from the Education room at Dixter Farm.

The plan is to make some carrot cake- ingredients: oil carrots, mixed spice, oranges, sugar, SR flour, butter and cream cheese icing to serve. Then we'll head for an adventure around the garden. .

We'll come back for a story, and the usual arts and crafts and singing and dancing as well as some watering and gardening- I'd like to clear the broad beans from the end and get the remaining courgetty things in. .

Please note that the garden is now open to the public and so car parking can be tight later in the morning. Please help us out by parking sensibly, pulling up tight to the hedges/ cars next to you and pulling as far forward as you are able to to either the ropes or hedges- Thank you

Booking is from 9pm the night before the session

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Information for new Garden Explorers:
There are baby changing facilities in the education room and the White Barn, next to the ticket office. There is lots of room for buggies inside the education room but when in the garden, we leave them by the ticket office and stick to the paths at all times.

Please be aware that Great Dixter is responsible for ensuring that all sites and activities are risk assessed and fit for purpose and you are responsible for direct supervision of your children while attending this group. Please read the health and safety information on our website before attending a session.
