Melbourne… something ICONIC is coming to the water for our first and only Great Gatsby Boat Party in Melbourne for 2027!

On Saturday 6 March, we’re taking over not one, but TWO of Melbourne’s most iconic boats at the same time; Victoria Star Cruises and Lady Cutler Melbourne Showboat. 

Both boats will depart together for one huge afternoon and sunset Gatsby party, with up to 600 guests partying across the two boats on Port Phillip Bay. 

Now in its 12th year, the Great Gatsby Boat Party continues to be Melbourne’s favourite themed boat party, loved by guests of all ages (18+). It's the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, hens night, team party or just a great excuse to dress up for a fun night with friends or that special someone. This is the night out you’ve been waiting for in 2027!

This is SESSION 1, our afternoon party beginning at 4PM and returning to Docklands at 7PM, perfectly timed to take you from afternoon drinks into golden hour and sunset.

Whichever you choose, both boats will be out on the water together and feature the Great Gatsby Boat Party atmosphere we’re known for with DJs, live saxophone, Gatsby performers, cocktails, dancing and a modern take on the roaring 20s.

GATSBY SHOWGIRLS

From glamorous showgirls to burlesque-inspired performers, some of Australia’s best Gatsby entertainers will roam the boats throughout the party, bringing a little 1920s mischief to the afternoon.

DANCE UPSTAIRS. RELAX DOWNSTAIRS.

Head upstairs when you’re ready to dance, or take things a little easier downstairs with drinks, friends and our relaxed Gatsby casino-lounge-inspired atmosphere.

FOOD & FEASTING, GATSBY STYLE

This isn’t your typical sit-down dinner cruise.

Instead, both boats will have sociable, snack-style food options available to purchase, perfect for enjoying between drinks, dancing and exploring the boat.

IMPORTANT: SESSION 1 ONLY

Your ticket gives you entry to the 4PM–7PM Afternoon + Sunset Party only.

It does not include entry to SESSION 2: AFTER DARK, which begins from 8PM and is sold separately.

If you want the later, darker, nighttime Gatsby experience, make sure you purchase a SESSION 2: AFTER DARK ticket instead.

BONUS SESSION 1 AFTER PARTY

When Session 1 returns to Docklands at 7PM, the fun doesn’t have to stop.

Session 1 guests are invited to continue the party at our official Melbourne CBD after party from 7.30PM until late.

HOW SESSION 1 WORKS

1. Choose Your Boat
Select either Lady Cutler Melbourne Showboat or Victoria Star Cruises when booking.

2. Both Boats Party Together
Both boats depart at the same time, creating one huge Gatsby party across the water with up to 600 guests.

3. Your Ticket Is Boat-Specific
Once you choose your boat, your ticket is locked to that boat for Session 1.

4. Session 1 Returns at 7PM
Both boats return to Docklands before our separate Session 2: After Dark Party begins later that evening.

5. Session 2 Requires Another Ticket
Session 1 tickets cannot be transferred or changed to the 8PM After Dark party.

Please choose carefully when booking, as we cannot swap guests between boats or move Session 1 tickets into Session 2.

SESSION 1 PARTY TIME: 4PM–7PM

SESSION 2: AFTER DARK begins separately from 8PM and requires a separate ticket.

Please have your ticket ready to show on your phone when you arrive.

DRESS CODE

Smart Dress/ Formal/ Modern 1920s/ Gatsby Inspired. You don’t need to look like you’ve walked off a movie set but this is definitely an occasion to dress up, have some fun and embrace the Gatsby theme.
