NOBODY TAUGHT US THIS:
The Business Side of Private Practice
with Kieri Olmstead, LMFT
They trained us to sit with some of the hardest moments in people's lives. They did not train us to file a Schedule C, structure an LLC, or figure out whether we actually want to run a business or just escape a bad job. This two-part training is the conversation most of us needed years ago. We'll get honest about what you actually want your practice to look like, walk through the different ways to build it, and cover the unglamorous but essential stuff that trips most clinicians up early: business structure, taxes, contractor versus employee status, and how to make decisions that hold up.
But the logistics are only half of it. The part nobody talks about is the inner work that comes with building something of your own: charging what you're worth without apologizing for it, building through imposter syndrome instead of waiting for it to go away, and ignoring the quiet judgment that lives inside our own professional community. If any of that resonates, this is just the beginning of that conversation.
This two-part training will be held on July 8 and July 22, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 pm via Zoom. Your ticket covers both training dates.
Recommended price is $50. This pay-what-you-can training is made possible when participants contribute at a level that feels accessible and sustainable for them. Thank you for helping support this model.
