Family Survival Hike
What does it take to survive in the natural world? On this guided family hike, participants will explore the four essentials of survival: food, water, shelter, and fire. As you move through the woods, Greenacres educators will introduce practical skills and highlight how natural resources can be used in a survival setting.
This event draws from Greenacres’ field trip and summer camp experiences, offering hands-on learning in an outdoor setting that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and connection to the land.
Please Note: Activities are designed for children ages 5 and up. Younger siblings are welcome but may require additional adult support.
