Greenacres Garden Tour

Join our farmers and researchers for a guided tour of Greenacres’ generative approach to agriculture.

No two garden tours are alike. Each experience reflects the season, the soil, and the ongoing work of our team. Whether you're a first-time guest or returning visitor, there is always something new to discover in the fields.

This Garden Tour will feature:

• Ecology in the Ley Field - Explore the intersection of crop production and the surrounding ecological system, and learn how we work alongside the environment to support healthy, resilient landscapes.
• Apprentice Plot Production - Meet our second-year farm apprentices and hear their stories of planning, planting, and harvesting crops within their own production spaces.
• Flower Production - Learn how we incorporate large-scale annual flower production into a ley field system and the practices we use to ensure continuous blooms throughout the growing season.
• High Tunnel Production Crop Rotation - Step inside our high tunnels to learn why we use them, how we manage them, and how crops are rotated through our three tunnel systems to promote healthy soil and healthy crops. 

About the Event

This event is a walking (1+ mile) tour taking place on our South Farm, near the Greenacres Arts Center in Indian Hill, NOT at the Greenacres Farm Market. Please be prepared for uneven terrain, some short hikes, and standing. Strollers are not permitted. Children are welcome, but please keep in mind this event occurs outdoors and away from our restroom facilities. Please dress appropriately for the conditions and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain.

Tickets

• Tickets are $1 per person
• Tickets must be purchased online, due to limited capacity walk ins will not be accepted at this time.
• Please note that there are no refunds or exchanges available.

Weather Policy

This garden tour will take place entirely outdoors and will be conducted rain or shine, except in the case of dangerous weather. Guests who opt in to receive SMS updates at checkout will be notified of any weather-related changes by text.
