Community Fossil Day + Stream Exploration

Travel back through time and explore how water has shaped the landscape around Greenacres Miami Township Education Center! Discover the story of this area, from the fossilized marine organisms that lived here approximately 450 million years ago to the aquatic macroinvertebrates living in local streams today.

Try your hand at fossil hunting, search the creek for aquatic macroinvertebrates, and explore the surrounding landscape. Back at the Education Center, experiment with the power of moving water using an interactive stream table and explore stream topography with our augmented reality (AR) sand display.

Join us anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, for this open house-style event as Greenacres celebrates 10 years in Miami Township, Clermont County!

Please note, the activities are designed for adults and school-aged children ages 5 and up. Younger siblings are welcome but may need extra support from an adult.

Tickets

• Admission: $1 per person
• Registration is required for all attendees
• Children (ages 5–17) must be accompanied by a registered adult
• Tickets must be purchased in advance, and due to limited capacity, walk-ins will not be accepted
