Join the Greenacres Education and Research teams for a guided hike through the restored prairie ecosystem at our Lewis Township location. Together, we’ll observe and identify native plants and wildlife, while learning about the prairie establishment process and the important role this habitat plays in conservation.

This immersive experience is perfect for nature lovers, families, and anyone interested in ecology or land restoration.

• Cost: $1 per person

• Registration: Advance registration required; space is limited

• Ages: Children ages 7–17 must be accompanied by a participating adult

• Location: Greenacres Lewis Township

Know Before You Go

• The hike will take place rain or shine unless dangerous weather occurs

• Please dress for the weather, including sunscreen, a hat, and bug spray if needed

• Closed-toed shoes are required; wear shoes suitable for hiking that may get wet or dirty

• Bring a filled personal water bottle

• Uneven terrain – no strollers permitted

• No pets may be brought to Greenacres

• Greenacres Foundation is privately operating; all guests on the property must be accompanied by a Greenacres representative at all times.
