Guided Hike: Lewis Township

Explore the Prairie at Lewis Township

Join the Greenacres Education team to explore some of our trails and see what we can learn about our local plants and animals. Each hike will have different leaders, different sites, and different eyes and ears discovering the wonders of nature. This means that every hike will be different! Bring your hiking shoes and curiosity. Guided Hikes will be held rain or shine, unless there is inclement weather.

This immersive experience is perfect for nature lovers, families, and anyone interested in ecology or land restoration.

Event Details

• Cost: $1 per person

• Registration: Advance registration required; space is limited

• Ages: Children ages 7–17 must be accompanied by a participating adult

• Location: Greenacres Lewis Township

Know Before You Go

• The hike will take place rain or shine unless dangerous weather occurs

• Please dress for the weather, including sunscreen, a hat, and bug spray if needed

• Closed-toed shoes are required; wear shoes suitable for hiking that may get wet or dirty

• Bring a filled personal water bottle

• Uneven terrain – no strollers permitted

• No pets may be brought to Greenacres

• Greenacres Foundation is privately operating; all guests on the property must be accompanied by a Greenacres representative at all times.
