Greenbackers Investment Showcase and Pitch provides the most promising climate and cleantech  ventures (earthtech, oceantech, and all related), a chance to pitch and gain 24/7 access to our curated community of pre-screened and verified Investment Funds - all of whom have a proven mandate to deploy growth capital into early-stage, climate positive and ESG related ventures. 

Qualifying ventures are featured on Greenbackers’ online investment platform as “The Greenbackers Showcase". This unique facility puts selected and venture into a “shop window” for the world’s leading investors and climate funds to review. The Greenbackers team proactively maximizes investor focus on the platform and co-ordinates discussions between participating ventures and investors who regularly visit.  

How it works:

Stage1: Purchase your ticket to commence the application process - cost: GBP£99 + VAT (approx USD $120, Euro €112). You will then receive a link to complete a Greenbackers Investment Readiness Assessment report on your business. There will be useful feedback on your state-of-readiness that you can use when you fill out your "Pitch profile". It should take you 15-20 minutes to complete. You’ll receive a valuable, independent and professional investment readiness report which highlights the strengths and weaknesses of your business through the eyes of a fund. It’s an important filter for us and part of our due diligence process which we require all ventures to complete.

Stage 2: you will then receive a further link to create a detailed investment Pitch profile on our Showcase platform. This profile is what Greenbackers will scorecard to determine your suitability for our Showcase - and what investors will see as part of the engagement process with you during your Fundraise. This will take you longer, so make sure you budget time to do it. There is no cost at this stage of application. 

Stage 3:  Successful applicants will get their profile fine-tuned, featured and promoted in our exclusive online dealroom which currently has 370+ venture fund members and to our wider network of over 3000 Climate Tech investment funds.

Additionally, they will be invited to Pitch at Greenbackers next Investment Pitch, always a high-profile investor event to be held live.

Criteria

• An innovative business in our sector (climate/cleantech/ocean economy or related)
• Seeking Seed or Series A, B or C equity finance and have raised a funding round previously (i.e. not pre-seed) 
• Strong team (with a plan to fill any gaps)
• Differentiated technology/service solution to a defined problem
• Scalable business model and reasonably large (and defined) addressable market
• Some form of market validation: sales, customer trials/testimonials or independent assessment
• Business plan ready and available
• Clear strategy and exit vision with a justifiable pre-money valuation
