Urban Tree Summit

Extreme heat, poor air quality, and a changing climate are creating real challenges for our communities. Urban trees are one of our most powerful tools to fight back. They cool our neighborhoods, clean the air, capture carbon and provide shelter for the birds and wildlife.

This October, Green Cities Accord will host its second annual Urban Tree Summit, bringing together people who want to get involved and help grow a more climate resilient Twin Cities. Hear from local leaders about the role urban trees can play in addressing some of our most pressing challenges, from extreme heat to habitat loss, and explore what it will take to expand and protect our tree canopy for the next generation.

The Urban Tree Summit is an opportunity to turn concern into action. Learn more about what Green Cities Accord is doing to grow and preserve urban tree canopy and how you can be part of the solution. Your participation and support help make this work possible, and at the Summit, you’ll have an opportunity to invest directly in our efforts to create healthier, more resilient communities through urban trees.

Whether you’re a longtime canopy champion or simply wondering what you can do, you’ll leave with real ways to get involved and make a difference.

We hope you’ll be part of this special evening of good food, drinks, and conversation with others who share a vision for a more climate resilient Twin Cities.
