Nature Count at Blockhouse Park Steps
Free nature activity for all the family!
Date: Monday 11th August
Time: 10:30am - 12:30pm
Location: Steps between Blockhouse Park and Pasley Street, What3Words: ///safety.vouch.dunes
Join the Green Communities and Stoke in Bloom team to discover all the wonderful insects and plants living on the steps between Blockhouse Park and Pasley Street.
This area will be developed into a new mini 'pocket park' by the Stoke in Bloom team, to enhance biodiversity in the area and provide a welcoming new space for the local community. We will discover what species already live in the area, and explore how we can improve the habitat to encourage more wildlife to make it their home.
We will also take part in some path gardening, ready for the creation of the new pocket park!
All ages and abilities welcome. This event is free but booking is encouraged to help us know how many people will be joining us.
All equipment will be provided. However, please wear sturdy footwear as we will be on slightly uneven ground, and be prepared for the weather!
We kindly ask that anyone under the age of 16 is accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please email us if you have limited mobility or any other health/accessibility concerns that we may need to know about. e.g. allergy to bee stings.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with Sophie: sophie.headdon@nationaltrust.org.uk
