Free Pond Dipping in Central Park!

Join us for a fun, free family sessions this summer! Dip nets into the pond, and meet the mini creatures living below the surface, while exploring one of Plymouth's brilliant green spaces.
Meeting by the benches looking over the new ponds, by the Barn Park entrance. We will be talking about the importance of pond habitats, why biodiversity is important and what creatures we might find in the ponds.
This session is aimed at kids aged 8+ and we ask that anyone under 13 are accompanied by an adult. You only need to get a ticket for the children attending.
No experience is needed, and all the equipment will be provided.
Please wear appropriate weather gear, and wear sturdy shoes or boots, as we will be on slightly uneven ground and near deep water. Participants without correct footwear will not be allowed near the waters edge to pond dip and will have to watch from a distance.
We will ask that kids participating wear hi vis that we will supply.
