Central Park Nature Craft Session

Join the Green Communities team in Central Park for a morning of nature crafting!

Friday 31st July 11:00- 1pm 

This will be a session to let your creativity flow, using nature as inspiration. We will have lots of different crafting and drawing materials to use, including pressed flowers to make cards, pictures or stick to canvases, pencils and pens to create drawings, magazine to create nature collages plus much more! We will have picnic blankets and camping chairs to sit on, but please bring anything you would like to sit on!

We will be meeting at the Clock Tower, which is located next to the Meadow Cafe, here: Google Maps Location Pin. Please be aware that spaces are limited.

We will be located in a field very close to the Clock Tower and nearby facilities. 

Kids and families are more than welcome at our events, however, we ask that anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 

For this event, please keep your dogs at home, they find crafting a little boring

Cancellation

In the event of a severe weather warning, this event will not go ahead. We will email you at the earliest convenience if the event is cancelled. Please keep an eye on your emails the day before and morning of the event.

Please let us know if you have booked a space but can no longer attend the session so we can fill your space.

Accessibility

We may be walking off of the main paths to wonder into the fields with uneven ground and long grass. If you have limited mobility, are a wheelchair user or have a young child in a pram, please contact us and we can let you know of any accessibility concerns.

What you need to bring

Green Communities will be providing any tools and resources needed, Just bring yourselves and any items from the list below:

• Weather protection (wet weather coats, sun cream, hats etc)
• Sturdy shoes (our events may move on to some uneven paths)
• Water bottle and refreshments you may want

Facilities

• There are toilets located at the Meadow Cafe and Life Centre Cafe which you can use through out the event
• Parking: There are two big car parks in Central Park, which are both free all day. These are a short walk from our meeting location.
• Bus routes: There are bus stops located on Outland Road and Alma road which are the closest to our meeting location. Also stops at Barn Park, which is about a 15 minute walk up to the meeting point.
