As hundreds of millions of people face potential displacement over the next two decades due to climate-change, what is our social and moral responsibility?

Greener Henley is delighted to present an engaging evening discussion exploring different perspectives to this question with Dr Krish Kandiah OBE from Sanctuary Foundation, The Rt Revd Olivia Graham, Bishop of Reading and Dr Alex Arnall, Associate Professor of Environment and Development at the University of Reading.

Guest bios:

Dr Krish Kandiah OBE is the founder of Sanctuary Foundation, a charity advocating for refugees. He is a regular advisor to government, broadcaster and author, and president of Henley YMCA.

The Rt Revd Olivia Graham, Bishop of Reading. Bishop Graham attended the COP26 conference in Glasgow and continues to work closely with other faith leaders on environmental leadership. She is one of three bishops who lead the national Church of England work on the environment.

Dr Alex Arnall is Associate Professor of Environment and Development at the University of Reading and a member of the Reading Centre for Climate and Justice. He is a Human Geographer and his research focuses on sea level rise, coastal erosion, and population displacement in the Global South and the UK.

Rachael Orr is CEO of Climate Outreach, an organisation that is committed to sharing climate stories that make a real difference. She has spent her career in the voluntary sector in leadership roles combining a deep commitment to social justice and to public engagement. Rachael currently serves as Chair of Trustees of the Refugee Council.
