Festive gifts – delicious homemade sweets and treats

Sat 12 Dec 2026 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM GMT Greener Kirkcaldy's Lang Spoon Community Kitchen, KY1 1XT

Celebrate the start of the festive season with a cosy, hands‑on workshop designed to fill your kitchen with winter aromas and help you create beautiful homemade gifts. Join us on a relaxed Saturday morning as we bake, stir, dip and decorate our way through three delicious seasonal treats - perfect for sharing, gifting, or keeping for yourself.

Over the morning, you’ll make a trio of festive favourites:

  • Chocolate hazelnut biscotti - crisp, nutty and perfect for dipping into hot chocolate or wrapping as elegant edible gifts.
  • Festive chutney - a warming blend of winter fruits and spices, ideal for cheese boards and holiday hampers.
  • Candied orange slices - jewel‑bright citrus rounds that can be dipped in chocolate, hung as decorations, or packaged as fragrant festive treats.

Our workshops are friendly and informal, with plenty of guidance from your tutor as you prepare each recipe. You’ll leave with a bundle of handmade gifts, new seasonal skills, and the joy of having spent a December morning crafting something delicious and personal.

Bring 2 boxes, a jar and a bag to take home your creations.

Lang Spoon Community Kitchen

The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen is part of Greener Kirkcaldy’s community building. We’re based in the heart of Kirkcaldy, close to the High Street and the train and bus. How to get here.

Our purpose built training kitchen has eight workstations, purpose-built to replicate the ease and comfort of cooking at home.

Our cookery school is complemented by a productive and climate-friendly garden, where we run volunteer training sessions and grow seasonal herbs, fruit and vegetables to use in our classes and events. We also have a larger community training garden and orchard in Dysart.

We host a wide range of events, courses and workshops on all aspects of food and drink. Both our Community Training Kitchen and Production Kitchen are available for hire too.
