The Triple Tiara: Thru-hiking the Long Trail, Colorado Trail, & Nüümü Poyo
Thu Jan 16, 2025 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM EST
Green Mountain Club, 05677
Description
The Triple Tiara is a hiking challenge that features shorter thru-hikes on portions of each of the Triple Crown trails: the Long Trail (featuring part of the Appalachian Trail), Nüümü Poyo (also known as the John Muir Trail; part of the Pacific Crest Trail), and Colorado Trail (part of the Continental Divide Trail). Aubri Drake, thru-hiker, ultrarunner, and LGBTQ+ advocate, just completed the Triple Tiara this summer! Join Aubri as they share stories and photos from their memorable thru-hikes and give you a taste of the joys and challenges that await you on these three exceptional trails.
Our in-person programming returns this year to the Meeting Hall at GMC Headquarters in Waterbury Center. We look forward to welcoming you back to our club space and invite you to join us for a sneak peek of the nearly complete Rothberg-Birdwhistell Visitor Center before the event. Check out the new building, mingle with other hikers, and enjoy light refreshments.
6:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.: Open House in the new Visitor Center
7 p.m. - 8 p.m.: Speaker Event
The Green Mountain Club strives to provide free programming and workshops for all. If you are able, please consider an optional donation at registration to support broad access to hiker resources and education.
