Description
On September 21, 2024, ultrarunner Tara Dower set a new overall speed record on the Appalachian Trail, raising the bar and resetting expectations for what's humanly possible with a time of 40 days, 18 hours, and 5 minutes. With the help of her support crew, Tara became the fastest person ever to complete the 2,189 mile long trail, lowering the previous record by 13 hours. Join Tara and the Green Mountain Club as she shares stories from her record-breaking experience, lessons learned over 2,000+ miles, and what this feat means to her and for women in endurance sports.
The Green Mountain Club strives to provide free programming and workshops for all. If you are able, please consider an optional donation at registration to support broad access to hiker resources and education.
