The Green Mountain Club invites you to join our 115th Annual Meeting at GMC Headquarters in Waterbury Center. We hope members will join us as we conduct club business, discuss the past year's work, and discuss plans for the current year ahead. There will be group hikes led by GMC volunteers after lunch. Details to follow; sign-up will happen on site.

Tour of the new Rothberg Birdwhistell Visitor Center
1:00 to 4:00 — Hikes/Outings
Barnes Camp Loop, 1.3 miles, Easy/Moderate. This begins on the Barnes Camp boardwalk into a beaver pond and then is a short loop in Smugglers' Notch.
Cotton Brook Road, 7-8 miles, Easy/Moderate, 600-800 ft elevation gain. Hike on Cotton Brook Road off Moscow Road, which is an old dirt road, upgraded with gravel. Pass Fosters Trail (closed since the landslide in May 2019), a view of the devastation due to the landslide, an old apple orchard, and two sites with stone foundations.
Duxbury Window, 3.2 miles, Moderate/Difficult. Hike on the Long Trail South to a beautiful overlook of the Winooski River Valley with views of the Worcester Range
Sterling Pond, 2.8 miles, Moderate/Difficult. Take this short but steep hike up to Sterling Pond, a high-elevation, fragile pond with great views.
Stowe Pinnacle, 3.6 miles. Moderate/Difficult. This has a moderate climb to a rocky crag with views of Stowe and the northern Green Mountains.
Lake Mansfield Trail to Taylor Lodge, 3.2 miles, Moderate. Moderate hike past scenic waterfalls and a view of Nebraska Notch.
Trail Maintenance Workshop – 1 miles, Moderate. Learn the basics of hiking trail maintenance along the Monroe Trail with Lorne Currier, GMC's Volunteer Coordinator.
Valcour Bog Walk - Easy/Moderate. Take a walk with former state botanist Bob Popp through the Valcour Bog to identify and discuss local flora and fauna.
