Summer Wild Mushroom Foray and Tasting

Are you intrigued by wild mushrooms? Join Ari Rockland-Miller of The Mushroom Forager on a tour of summer’s wild flavors. When summer rains fall, the forests of Vermont can harbor a great diversity of wild mushrooms, including choice edibles like chanterelles, black trumpets, and porcini. This program will feature a colorful presentation introducing Vermont's top gourmet edibles, providing tips on how to safely, ethically and fruitfully pursue wild mushrooms. Then, join us on a guided foray as we explore the woods around Green Mountain Club with an eye towards finding and identifying seasonal favorites. Stick around for a tasting after the hunt!

Participants should dress for hiking in the woods and bring water. The colorful presentation will be held indoors, and the outdoor guided foray will be held rain or shine unless the weather presents a safety hazard such as t-storms.
