Are you intrigued by wild mushrooms? Join Ari Rockland-Miller of The Mushroom Forager on a tour of summer’s wild flavors. When summer rains fall, the forests of Vermont can harbor a great diversity of wild mushrooms, including choice edibles like chanterelles, black trumpets, and porcini. This guided foray will explore the woods around Green Mountain Club campus while introducing mushroom hunting safety, strategy, ethics and sustainability. Stick around for a tasting after the hunt!
Participants should dress for hiking in the woods and bring water. This program is fully outdoors and will be held rain or shine unless the weather presents a safety hazard such as t-storms.
