This event is part of our ‘Confident Community Events’ series, supporting Green Squirrel volunteers and others to take the next steps and planning and leading activities and events in their local community. It’s for anyone who has wondered about putting on event but doesn’t feel sure where to start, or needs some more confidence to take their first steps. You can take part in a single event or the whole series, it's up to you!
In this session we’ll be focussing on keeping everyone at your event safe. You will learn…
What kind of insurance you need for your event, and how to get it
How to risk assess your event, then put your risk assessment into practice
How to avoid and manage common safety worries
This training is free for Green Squirrel volunteers, for anyone joining from another organisation we ask for a small donation. If you’re a Green Squirrel volunteer you’ll also be invited to join the events team to put your skills into practice!
