Many cultures - many stories - one shawl for a united Wales
Come and be part of a very special project! Groups around Cardiff are creating patches to form part of a large shawl, a community artwork to tell the stories of people who call Wales home. This is a project led by NoFit State Circus. Here's a short video from Sara to tell you more about the project and show you some example patches.
Everyone is invited to take part, no sewing experience needed! Join Sara for a special patch making session at Railway Gardens from 5:30 - 7:30pm on August 7th to get involved.
- Everything is provided! There will be plenty of fabric, thread etc - you don't need to bring anything (but you can if you wish)
- Everything will be ironed on so nice and quick with no sewing needed
- Each patch is 30cm x 30cm so plenty of space to tell your story or share your creativity
- Children are welcome but will need some adult supervision
Bring your ideas about what your local area means to you - do you have a favourite place? A special memory? A family history here?
Please sign up if you're planning to come so that Sara knows how many people to expect.
