Thread & Reflection: A Children’s Tasbeeh-making & Mindfulness workshop

A creative and meaningful hands-on experience where children can learn, make, explore and take home something truly personal.

Join the founders of Turjaun to discover the rich heritage and timeless tradition of the Misbaha /Tasbeeh. Children will learn about its origins, history and significance, and how it continues to be used as a tool for remembrance, reflection and mindfulness.

Then it’s time to get creative!

Each child will design and make their own personalised misbaha /tasbeeh using a beautiful selection of genuine wood, semi-precious gemstones, colourful threads and fun charms. They’ll choose their own materials, learn to string and assemble their beads, and even make their own tassel.

Along the way, children will develop practical skills including threading, knotting, design, colour coordination, fine motor skills and patience — all while expressing their own creativity.

We’ll also explore how the misbaha/tasbeeh can be a simple spiritual tool for finding moments of calm, remembrance and reflection, particularly in a busy modern world. Using beautiful natural materials provided by God, children can discover a meaningful way to pause, refocus and create moments of stillness.

What’s Included?

Each child receives:

• Genuine wood and semi-precious gemstones
• A choice of colourful threads and fun charms
• All materials and expert guidance
• Hands-on learning and creative making
• Their own handmade tassel
• A personalised misbaha/tasbeeh created entirely by them
• A beautiful velvet pouch to take it home in

More than a craft workshop, this is an opportunity to learn new skills, connect with heritage and spirituality, express creativity and create a keepsake to treasure.
