Description
Can you imagine a future where NATURE has RIGHTS?
What’s your part in this future?
You are invited to join us as we unravel the story of humans’ relationship with Nature: from ancient times to the present day.
Be part of a compelling journey where we watch, read, question, talk, listen… and Imagine a future where Nature has rights.
'A crucial timely event that anyone concerned with life on earth should attend'.
Nature Rights is a participatory event, guided by artists and collaborators Flora Gregory and Natalie Koffman who are inspired and motivated in their individual and collaborative works by ecological and planetary concerns and a deeply felt personal connection to nature. They have been hosting and sharing Nature Rights since 2018.
Nature Rights lasts approximately 4 hours. It offers a rare opportunity away from everyday life to consider important questions that can help shape and determine different ways of being in the world - how we might live more harmoniously with our planetary cohabitants and within planetary means. The event has become ever more relevant, as with Climate Change and Biodiversity Loss, communities around the world are taking local action to protect their environments.
Each event is limited in numbers to maintain an intimate experience. A gentle journey through time and human thought is facilitated, and participants are invited to share their responses to questions considering nature and nature rights and to collectively and individually picture imagine possible futures.
Asthall Manor is a Jacobean manor house surrounded by a garden, woodland and meadows that blend into the glorious Windrush valley landscape beyond. It is a private home that regularly welcomes visitors to wander its meandering paths, discover its secret spaces and connect with nature, art and each other.
The event is for a group of up to 30 people and booking is required. It is not for profit and the ticket price includes tea, coffee and scrumptious cakes.
The full price ticket is £65 and there are reduced cost tickets of £35 and supporter tickets of £95.
Please contact us by email if there is any query.
