The Archaeological Evidence – Identifying the Monastery of St. Moluag

This lecture will be given by Dr Clare Ellis of Argyll Archaeology.

Her talk will be about the work she undertook on Lismore.  She will look at the archaeological evidence that has been uncovered for the existence of an early medieval monastery and a later 9th and 10th century monastic and possible secular centre for the production of amazing bejewelled artefacts including reliquaries, rings and brooches.
