Groovanometry 2026

Get ready as one of the UK’s most exciting dance event marking it's 11th year of celebrating hiphop dance culture, creativity, and community. Rooted in Manchester, Groovanometry shines a spotlight on Hip Hop dance styles like Breaking, Popping, Stand-Up Hip Hop, Locking, House bringing together artists from across the globe for a vibrant weekend of cultural exchange.

Spanning three days and multiple Manchester City Centre locations, the festival promises an unforgettable experience with dance battles, cyphers, panel discussions, workshops by world-renowned artists, live performances, and much more. The grand finale will take place at Aviva Studios, wrapping up the weekend in spectacular style

Saturday: Qualification day

Venue: Niamos Radical Arts Centre

The first day is the qualification day where dancers who want to qualify on this will take part in a cypher qualification to see if they will make through to the main day! On this day will be special guest dance workshops happening in the morning before the qualification.

Sunday: Main Event

Venue: Aviva Studios

The festival culminates at Aviva Studios with a thrilling finale. Qualified dancers from Saturday face off in the knock stage where the TOP 32 dancers from Breaking and All Styles with battle it out in a 1vs1 format until the TOP 8. It does not stop there, LAST CHANCE cypher, where dancers will cypher off and the judges will choose one dance to get the LAST spot to make the final 10 dancers to then make the 5vs5 battle TOP 4 crew battle. This is a new concept battle originated in Austria, created by the event Circle Industry. They have co-signed this concept from Groovanometry to host the concept for VERY FIRST TIME!
