How many places are there?
There are a maximum of eight child places per experience with a minimum of four children needed for us to go ahead. Each child should be accompanied by one adult. If there are too few bookings for an experience, we may ask you to join a group at another time. If there is a lot of demand we will put more times and dates.
What does it cost?
- There is a cost of £10 per child (aged 4 to 8) and £7 per extra sibling (aged 4 to 8) plus a maximum of one accompanying adult per child.
- We have a limited number of £3 bursary tickets available to children from families on low incomes / means-tested benefits. Please select this option when booking
What should I wear?
Your child should wear long sleeved clothing, trousers, socks and shoes or wellies (no open sandals). Please do not wear perfume. Protective beekeeping clothing will be provided.
What if the weather is bad?
We may have to cancel if the weather looks too wet or windy to look inside the beehive. If this happens you will be informed the day before via the email address that you used to book your tickets.
What if I need to cancel?
- If something comes up and you can no longer make it, please tell us by replying to your booking confirmation email. Then we can let those people on the waiting list know that a space has come up. Thank you!
- Unfortunately we are not able to refund ticket costs on cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event. If you cancel before this time, please let us know if you would like a) your ticket cost to be donated to our charity to provide discounted/free spaces for disadvantaged communities to attend our workshops, b) your ticket to be transferred to a future available date on this workshop, or c) a refund to your account, minus processing fees.
How do I get there and where can I park?
- If it's your first visit then please give yourself a bit of extra time to find us...
