Groundwork are a responsible organisation committed to supporting the Government’s efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19 as well as protecting birds from Avian Flu.
Covid-19: We strongly advise that people follow the Government guidance at all times. We thank you for your co-operation: stay safe.
Avian Flu: To protect our birds as well as wild birds visiting our site, until further notice we will insist that everyone visiting the farm and village area MUST pass through a disinfectant bath. This involves standing in disinfectant solution which will be around 20cm deep therefore wellington boots will be the only suitable footwear. Wheels will be sprayed.
Also, we will be keeping a hard-copy list of all people going onto the farm so we will be collecting names and addresses of all people as they pass to our outdoor area. This collection of data is additional to details gathered for Covid-19.
I'm sure that you will understand that this also means that dogs cannot be brought on-site and may continue to keep our birds safely away from public areas. We will not be selling seed.
We hope that the guidance from Defra will be relaxed prior to opening however at time of writing we must still assume it will continue.
PLEASE NOTE: Each person needs to have a slot booked, regardless of age, membership or ticket type. If the system will not allow you to book for your full party, this is typically because there are no longer enough slots available. This can sometimes not be clear when booking a mixture of ticket types.
Please arrive within your 30-minute timeslot. You're then welcome to stay until closing time of 4pm.
The Farm and Anglo-Saxon Village are open for your visit. In some areas a one-way system is in operation, these routes are signposted and you will be emailed a map in advance.
Our gift shop will be open and is taking card payments only.
Toilets are open and the Hive café is open, please, pre-order for collection in advance directly with Hive although they will always do their best to accommodate.
Please make sure, if booking the Unlimited Pass or Post-lockdown ticket, that you have your Pass with you for inspection.
