Reconnect and reflect - wellbeing through nature session

Multiple dates and times Paudy Pigs’ smallholding, LE12

Spend a few hours at a smallholding in Leicestershire, surrounded by trees, fields, birds and livestock.. and reconnect with yourself, with nature and with others.

On a Sunday morning, whatever the weather, we gather a small group of 4-6 disconnected, burnt out optimist-adventurers, and slow down. Using creative play and focus on nature as the tools to help us open up, ground ourselves and explore our thoughts and feelings, we create a safe space to just be for a few hours.

Sessions adapt to the seasons, the group and the space, but we’ll always slow down with some gentle, mindful focus on nature, we’ll make space to talk and share thoughts, and we’ll put together and eat lunch as a group.

G r o w is a community centred around the values of living well and sustainably, connection to nature, and cultivating authenticity, compassion and acceptance. These sessions are where we come together and play, explore and get back to what those values feel like, and we’re building digital space to connect and share ideas too.

We still need a village; we’re not meant to exist separately, try to do everything ourselves, and push through productivity oblivious to the seasons changing around us.

Come to one session, come again and again, connect online and help build a supportive, wholehearted collective of like-minded beings.

What to expect
An open, non-judgmental, kind space
A combination of mindfulness, no-pressure craft and creating, discussion and tools for wellness, nature learning and exploring, and nutritious, seasonal food
Being outdoors and up close with fields, woods, grass, earth and the weather
Pigs!
Four hours, 10am-2pm one Sunday a month to reset, reconnect with yourself, nature and others, and quiet and time to reflect on where you are and what you need.

What to bring
Materials and refreshments are all provided - we'll share hot drinks and treats, and have lunch together in (or just out of!) the elements.
You'll need footwear and clothing for being outdoors on the ground, a mat or blanket, and a journal or notebook if you feel you'll want to note down thoughts and ideas. There's shelter if the weather is unforgiving.

These experiences are well-suited and should feel safe to you if you're just dipping your toes into exploring nature, or if you've not yet tried forest bathing, wellbeing sessions or explored positive psychology or art therapy.
Bring yourself with trust, openness and curiosity and you'll hopefully reconnect with yourself, nature and others!

”..I haven’t felt so nurtured, uplifted or clear as I did driving home in a long time 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼..”

“It really brought home to me how very much I need to be in nature to feel grounded.. literally down on the ground, at eye-level with the daisies and dandelions ideally!”
