TOGETHER - Summer weekend retreat

Fri 14 Aug 2026 3:00 PM - Sun 16 Aug 2026 5:00 PM BST Paudy Pigs' smallholding, Leicestershire LE12

Find your people.   Slow down.  Discover.   Play.   Breathe.   Change.

A weekend retreat full of nature connection, slow living, creativity, and tools for your wellbeing.

Reset your nervous system and leave with a refreshed mind, and a new community of nature-loving, curious, authentic folk.

What to expect

A gentle, immersive weekend: camp on a smallholding with pigs and alpacas nearby; wake to the sound of skylarks and enjoy being off-grid while we create, discover and nourish ourselves.

Sessions include things like willow weaving, nature printing, mindful drawing and painting, yoga, sound bath, discussions around wellbeing, talks, storytelling, breathwork, forest bathing and meditation.

It's a simple but full schedule of activities, with time to rest and connect with each other; or choose to spend quiet time alone and soak in the surroundings.

Spaces are limited to 25 for an intimate, comfortable experience, with small-group or paired breakout conversations and reflections through some of the sessions; and the freedom at any time to just enjoy your own space and quiet time.

This is perfect for you if you’re just beginning to explore nature more, haven’t tried mindfulness practice or nature crafting - and equally enjoyable if you have, and would love an escape to be able to slow down, play and reconnect with yourself!

What's included

- 2 nights' off-grid camping in fields (don't worry, we have a loo and running water!) - bring your own tent or upgrade for a pre-pitched tent (a variety of bell tents, 2-man and 4-man; choose to share or have your own)

- Seasonal, nourishing food enjoyed together outdoors - breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and hot drinks all weekend. Meals are tailored to the group - put your dietary requirements in at checkout

- A fully outdoors weekend - there are small areas of shelter and plenty of umbrellas in case of terrible weather - dress accordingly!

- All sessions, talks, crafts and materials for crafting and creating - leave space to take your creations home!

- Goodies to take away, as well as the tools and knowledge to take forward into your everyday life

- A memorable weekend with like-minded people, exploring nature, trying out new ideas and practices, connecting and becoming part of a community

Is it for me?

Do you love nature, and want to explore more, but don't know where to start, or don't know anyone like-minded yet, and want to be part of a community of like-minded people?

Feeling tired, burnt out, and not really knowing how to slow down or where to start with taking care of yourself?

Have you had a change of plan, career, life circumstance and are reflecting on your personal growth, wanting to live well, more slowly and more in tune with yourself?

Think of yourself as creative, but not enough to let yourself create for the sake of it - or have always felt too embarrassed to play, experiment and 'can't make anything good'?

Do you value the environment, living seasonally and more sustainably, and would like to be more self-sufficient and consume less - curious about foraging, nature crafts and nature ID?

Are you searching for your people - like-minded folk, with similar values, who want to spend more time in nature, living slowly but realistically and imperfectly - real, authentic, kind and intentional?

..then this weekend is for you!

The nitty gritty details

Location: Paudy Pigs' smallholding, just outside Barrow-upon-Soar and Seagrave, Leicestershire. Fields, trees, livestock and views across the Leicestershire countryside.

Arrival: from 3pm Friday afternoon, with time to pitch your tent, unpack, relax and explore before dinner at 7pm.

What to bring:

  • Your tent (unless you've booked one)
  • Bedding, and anything else you want in your tent
  • Comfortable clothes to suit the weather; layers in case it changes - and something you can move easily in if you'd like to enjoy yoga
  • Sturdy footwear (if the weather is good you may not need these but best to have them!)
  • A water bottle, and perhaps a notebook or sketchbook for notes or scrapbooking
  • A yoga mat or blanket if you have one
  • Something to protect your clothes from paint etc - an apron, or old shirt or scruffy clothes
  • Swimwear - for solar shower (semi-private) or possible paddle or dip, weather-dependent!
  • A towel
  • Anything else you need to be comfortable - if you have any medication or access needs, let us know so we can make sure they can be accommodated

Facilities:
The paddocks and trees have a compost toilet and cold water sink; there will be either solar showers or limited access to an indoor shower.

The paddocks are completely off-grid; we will be warmed by fire, hot water bottle and emergency gas heaters, and there is no power. FAQs
Are dogs welcome? We're afraid not - we love furry friends, but they won't enjoy the weekend and you'll be worrying about them, and the livestock!

Can children and young people come? The minimum age for this weekend is 18.

Is there a way to get there without a car? Get in touch with us - there might be options!

Is this a women-only event? All genders, sexualities and backgrounds are welcome at this retreat - we welcome you however you identify.

Can I share my tent with my friend? Absolutely - simply put their name in the booking form at checkout!

What happens if the weather is awful? If the forecast is truly terrible, we may need to postpone this event. If it's a bit of rain, we'll embrace the elements!

Are the animals friendly? Generally! The pigs are all kept in pens, and the alpacas and chickens will be in areas that you may pass through, but they tend to keep their distance unless being fed! There will be chances to help with feeding the animals if you like. There are friendly resident dogs that may join us occasionally; please let us know if you have any concerns and we'll keep them out of your space!
