Join us on April 25th for our third Faith and Healthcare Conference. This conference is for anyone who works in healthcare or is interested in the interaction between healthcare and Christian faith. We’ll be looking at healthcare and wellbeing in its broadest sense including allied healthcare, counselling, and medicine for all ages and stages across a variety of settings.

We’re excited to gather again as Christians who are passionate about seeing God’s kingdom come in our homes, communities and workplaces. As individuals working within, or interested in healthcare we want to provide an opportunity to worship, connect and grow together.

The day will involve opportunities for worship, prayer, networking, and hearing from individuals working or volunteering in healthcare settings.

Tickets - Tickets are £20 and include tea, coffee, snacks and sandwiches. Bookings close 16 April for catering purposes but a limited number of late bookings are available if you're willing to bring your own lunch / pop to a shop nearby to get something to eat.

Exhibitors - we are inviting other organisations to partner with us in this mission.  Email info@growinghope.org.uk if you would like more information.  Exhibitors include: Through the Roof, Christians in Allied Health, New Found Hope, Choices, Centre for Autism and Theology, Count Everyone In and Growing Hope.

Keynote speakers and panellists:

Our host, Dr Naomi Fox, Occupational Therapist and founder of Growing Hope.

Julie Carroll, counsellor, Ignatian spiritual director and hospital chaplain will be sharing on "Love thy neighbour... as thyself. What does caring in community look like?  Looking after your spiritual wellbeing while supporting others".

Prinith de Alwis Jayasinghe works as a Diabetes Dietitian looking after children with diabetes and teaching groups of adults how to manage their diabetes. She leads the West Midlands Christians in Allied Health group and represents AHPs on the West Midlands Christian Medical Fellowship Catalyst team. She also leads the Birmingham Movement in Worship Base and is a licensed teacher with Movement in Worship. She will help us consider our uniqueness and provide a taster session to Movement in Worship.

Panellists discussing "Nurturing the wellbeing of healthcare providers" include Alley Akoh (Growing Hope Art Therapist), Ruth Stephens (Occupational Therapist and Clinical Supervisor with special interest in Trauma -informed therapy) and Prof. Derralynn Hughes (Medical Doctor and Researcher, specialising in rare diseases, and their effect on emotional and lived experience).

Photography on the day - Growing Hope will be taking photos and videos at the conference for marketing and publicity purposes. If you would prefer to not to be photographed, please email Naz Wilde at info@growinghope.org.uk before the conference.

Getting there - St. Luke's Hampstead is just off Finchley Road, and is easily accessed from West Hampstead stations including tube (Jubilee line), overground and Thameslink, from where you could walk up or catch a bus.  You could also walk down the hill from Hampstead station (Northern Line).

We’d love you to join us as we seek to be the people we’ve been created to be in the sphere we’re called to.
