TINY STORY DOOR
Make a door. Imagine a story.

What—or who—might live behind a tiny door?

In this hands-on creative workshop, children will design and decorate their own wooden tiny door, then imagine and create the story waiting behind it. With thoughtful support for developing ideas, organizing a story, and getting it onto paper, every child can experience the satisfaction of bringing an idea to life.

Tiny Story Door is presented collaboratively by Growing Minds & More with NEST Collective

Samantha Fraley, MFA, MA, is a Washington State licensed teacher and founder of Growing Minds & More. She brings her expertise in writing instruction and composition to help young storytellers develop and express their ideas.

Shana Anders, PT, DPT, is the founder of NEST Collective. She brings an executive-function-informed approach to help children move from idea to plan, organize their thinking, and follow the creative process through to a finished product.

Together, Samantha and Shana will create a playful, supportive experience where art and storytelling work hand in hand. Storytellers at every writing level are welcome.

Each participant will receive:

• An unfinished wooden tiny door to design and decorate
• All art and building materials
• Guided creative and storytelling support
• Their finished one-of-a-kind door
• Their own original story to take home
