Brigid, Spirit of Kildare Festival - Imbolc Celebrations!

Let's make some St. Brigid's Crosses to celebrate Imbolc!

Celebrate spring and the ancient feast of Imbolc by making your own St.Brigid's cross and explore other crosses such as the God's eye weave. Together we will walk the bog of North Kildare to collect our rushes and gather around the fire to weave various crosses for the morning.

Location: Growing Wild @ Littlewood, Derryvarroge, Donadea, Co. Kildare.

Date: Sunday 2nd Feb 2025

Time: 10-2pm

Other information: We will be outdoors for the 4 hours, so make sure to wear many and warm layers, and waterproof outer layers, we will have shelter and a fire but it is just the start of February so be prepared for the cold!

This project is funded by Brigid, The Spirit of Kildare Commuinty and Creative Grant and Kildare County Council.
