A paraplegic marine finds himself on a unique mission to the planet of Pandora where a valuable precious ore is being mined. He infiltrates the native tribe of beings (the Na' vi) with the use of an 'avatar' identity, but struggles to balance his military orders alongside protecting the world that is fast becoming his home.
