Greed N' Graves - 25/26 COV Production

Multiple dates and times Studio 914, S7M0Y4

The year is 2080 and renowned scientist, billionaire and recluse Phil N. Graves has just passed away. Just like Phil, the reading of the will will be far from normal. A motley crew from Phil’s family and his past arrive on his island estate to compete for Phil’s $1.29 Billion inheritance. The tasks will challenge everyone’s physical skill, endurance and mental agility. With the threat of a spreading sickness and an imminent storm, who will win? And who will succumb to the greed that lives within us all?

Since 1999, Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre has been developing Indigenous youth into the next generation of storytellers by teaching them artistic and theatrical skills.

This year, GTNT will be working with the COV students on a piece using Devised Theatre methods. Devised theatre, also known as collective creation, is a theatrical approach where the script or performance score is collaboratively developed by a performing ensemble, often through improvisation and experimentation. It's a process of creating a performance from scratch, without a pre-existing script.
