There are two offerings for this course (part1) on this date. If you are looking for Part 2, please refer to our training schedule.
Must be at least 18 years old, and legally able to possess a firearm, or if under 18 must attend with a paying parent or legal guardian.
We DO NOT recommend purchasing a firearm SOLELY to take this course. But if you already have one you want to practice with that is fine. Otherwise we recommend using our equipment rental to get a better idea before spending that kind of money.
This course is for the new gun owner or perhaps for someone who is looking for a refresher. This course will focus on the BASICS. This is NOT a CCDW course. The main focus of this course is SAFETY and proper handling and operation of your firearm. Safety is our number one priority so in order to participate in this course, you must be willing to take strict directions from the instructors. With that being said, this course has a hard cap of 8 participants. If it is full, you can request to be put on the waiting list. Anyone unwilling to follow directions and safety protocols from the instructors will be asked to leave with no refund.
This course is divided into two parts. Part I will include basic safety, proper handling, and nomenclature, as well as, holster and ammo selection. This course includes live fire instruction from a table start, therefore no holster is required for this part of the course.
NOTE: Waivers will be required in order to participate. These, along with other information will be provided in an email that will be sent 5 days prior to start of class.
IMPORTANT You MUST arrive with your firearms UNLOADED and in an adequate case. NOT on your person.
***Don't have a firearm? No problem! We will be offering an opportunity to rent one that includes magazines. We only ask that you provide your own ammunition (100 rounds of 9mm factory FMJ is what you need to look for on the box. We recommend 155 grain as it's usually cheaper and if a higher number is what you can find that is okay too). Add “Equipment Rental” at checkout***
