The Basics-Rifle

Date: September 12, 2026

Time: 8:00am CT- 12:00pm CT

*please arrive a few minutes early to ensure time for sign-in and waivers

Location: Ky Regulators Gun Club in Boaz, Ky

Tuition: $100 (NOT INCLUDED: $20 cash range fee due upon arrival for NON-CLUB MEMBERS ONLY)

Must be at least 18 years old, and legally able to possess a firearm, or if under 18 must attend with a paying parent or legal guardian.

We DO NOT recommend purchasing a firearm SOLELY to take this course. But if you already have one you want to practice with that is fine. Otherwise we recommend using our equipment rental to get a better idea before spending that kind of money.


This course is for the new rifle owner or perhaps for someone who is looking for a refresher. This course will focus on the BASICS.  The main focus of this course is SAFETY and proper handling and operation of your rifle. Safety is our number one priority so in order to participate in this course, you must be willing to take strict directions from the instructors. With that being said, this course has a hard cap of 8 participants. If it is full, you can request to be put on the waiting list. Anyone unwilling to follow directions and safety protocols from the instructors will be asked to leave with no refund. 

**NOTE: Waivers will be required in order to participate. These, along with other information will be provided in an email that will be sent 5 days prior to start of class.


************IMPORTANT You MUST arrive with your firearms UNLOADED. Equipment will be inspected upon arrival

Here is what you will learn:

  • The rules of safe firearm handling and how to apply them

  • How a rifle works

  • Shooting fundamentals

  • Loading and unloading/clearing a rifle

  • Equipment information (slings, ammunition)

  • Live fire exercise


Ear and eye protection is available for all students and it is not necessary to reserve in advance.

GEAR LIST

  • An open mind

  • A fully operational rifle (Carbine or bolt-action is fine)

  • At least 1 magazine (not necessary for all bolt actions)

  • Eye Protection (Z87 certified is highly recommended)

  • Hearing Protection (electronic hearing protection is ideal which aids in instruction)

  • Snacks and drinks should you choose

  • 20 rounds (factory ammunition. NO reloads)

  • Good shoes for a range (comfortable, closed toe)

  • Any other comfort items you wish to bring

  • Note taking material

  • A hat with a brim

  • A range bag to keep up with your equipment

  • Gear appropriate for the weather (ie. Sunscreen, bug spray, cold/wet weather gear)


CANCELLATION POLICY AND REFUND POLICY: (CUSTOMER) NO REFUNDS will be granted once purchase is complete. We do understand emergencies occur, so please reach out to us for such an instance. Communication is key! (COMPANY) Guardienne Solutions, LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course up to 14 days prior to the first day of the course for any reason. In this event, a full refund will be issued to your original purchase method. Courses are generally not affected by weather however, if staff determines that it is unsafe for instructors and/or students to travel, if course location is damaged, or any other unforeseen circumstances occur, the course may be rescheduled. In the event Guardienne Solutions reschedules a course due to such circumstances, tickets will be refunded via voucher that students can use towards the rescheduled course or another course.
