He is also a descendent of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
A prolific writer and a poet, his most recent books - the ‘Shama’il of al-Habib al-Mustafa’ and ‘Introduction to Sahih al-Bukhari’ - are indispensable for every Muslim. He penned 60 poems, of over 5000 lines, in praise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ - including the doubling (tashtir) of the famous Burdah and Hamziyya poems - which earned him the title of ‘the Busiri of this time’.
In recognition of his work for building peace and harmony, and better understanding between all religious groups, Shaykh Muhammad received the International Award of Ambassador of Liberty and Peace in 2016. (1)
For several years running, the Royal Aal al-Bayt has included him as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world, with the 2020 edition placing him 40th. (2)
His bestselling book, ‘Refuting ISIS’, has been published in 6 languages, including Arabic and English, and is widely heralded by critics.
