Gunuma Lodge 50th Anniversary 1976 - 2016

Gunuma Lodge will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades since it first opened its doors in 1976

The lodge committee views this milestone not only as a celebration of "mountain magic" and shared history but also as a strategic opportunity to ensure the club remains a viable second home for the next 50 years.

Primary Celebration: Reunion Lunch The centerpiece of the anniversary is a relaxed reunion lunch designed to bring together the entire Gunuma community, including past and present members and their guests

• Date and Time: Saturday, 16 May 2026, from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm (Event space closes at 4pm)
• Location: The Red Shed, located at 45 John Cardiff Cl, Acton, in Canberra
• Event Details: The lodge will provide welcome drinks, canapés, and a bubbly toast to kick off the celebration
• Costs: Attendees can purchase food tickets for $45 per person, while additional drinks will be available for purchase at the bar

Commemorative Projects: To honor the lodge's rich history, several special projects are underway:

• 50-Year Commemorative Book: The lodge is creating a book to showcase favorite memories, stories, and photos contributed by the community (which will be available after the event).
• Call for Archives: Members are encouraged to dig through their personal archives for photos, memorabilia, and stories to help bring Gunuma’s history to life. Submissions can be sent to Communications Manager Emmy Arthurson at communication@gunumalodge.com.au.
• Gunuma 1976 Commemorative Apparel: Special limited-edition hoodies are being designed for the occasion. 

This limited edition will be available in women’s, men’s/unisex and kids’ sizes.
Place an order for total KIDS and/or ADULTS hoodies you want and after purchase, you will be sent a google form to select your STYLE, COLOUR and SIZE form the hoodies

Hoodies will NOT be available for pick up at the event (that window has closed).
