The Big GY28 Creative Conversation

Calling Grimsby’s artists, creatives, communities, and innovators! Join us for The Big GY28 Creative Conversations - a series of in-person and online events designed to shape Grimsby’s official Town of Culture bid. Attend one event or all of them!

These sessions are your chance to find out more about the potential opportunities, network across the sector, and co-develop ideas to include in the overall bid vision.

We are looking for ambitious ideas that align with these key themes:

• Fiery Stuff: Celebrating our fearlessness, courage, grit, determination and our achievements. Highlighting our local legends (at all levels). Making a nod to our Nordic routes.
• The Catch: Celebrating our place as a key national food producer with a ‘community food’ focus alongside. Using creativity to celebrate the food industry (and its workers) while sharing together, celebrating together, looking after one-another, championing our community spirit.
• Edge / Coast: Exploring our relationship with the sea, our global connectivity and the international connections made possible by our unique location.
• Step Forward: A focus on innovation, creative vision, sustainability and renewables industries, presenting a forward-facing Grimsby that looks ahead with capability ambition and confidence.
