From Larry the oldest stallholder to Jackey the parrot, Ridley Road was Lucinda Rogers’s inspiration and studio for two months in 2017 as she created a portrait of its traders and stalls in a series of large documentary drawings made on the spot. She will show the drawings and talk about the resulting exhibition ‘On Gentrification’, which placed Ridley Road within the context of changes in the area and in the market itself. She will bring the market's story up to date with an account of recent happenings.
