Walk - Homerton

Stretching along a ridge sloping down to two rivers, Homerton was once the wealthiest, most populous part of Hackney. Home to dissenters and paupers, its social decline was brought about by the coming of industry, railways and hospitals. Perhaps the last part of Hackney to submit to ‘gentrification’, catch it before Homerton changes again.
