Hackney History Festival Launch
Join us for the launch of Hackney History Festival 2026 which runs throughout May. Hosted at Bootstrap Charity, in Dalston’s Ashwin Street, with the opening preview of a map exhibition about historic Hackney called ‘This Place Then’ and short taster talks from many of the speakers featured in the festival. We’ll also hear from Charlie Peel, the exhibition’s cartographer, and David Williams, CEO of Bootstrap about their work and have some drinks and space to mingle.
Cost includes first drink and snacks, with a paid bar after that.

6pm Exhibition & Drinks Reception Print House Gallery
6.45pm Guests make there way to The Garden Room in Curve Garden (through the private alley!)
7.00pm - 7.30pm Introduction from David Williams (CEO Bootstrap) followed by Charlie Peel (Map-Editions), Janet Chapman (The Hackney Society Chair) and rest of speakers.
7.30pm - 8.00pm Mingling/Photographs
8.00pm Guests vacate via Curve Garden (or continue there)
Exhibition continues throughout May with free entry 9am-5pm, drop in.
