Growing with Change: Young People and Regeneration in Hackney

Hackney has long been a place where creativity and innovation take root - often the first home for emerging artists, grassroots movements, and new ways of thinking. Its cultural energy and community spirit have played a vital role in shaping East London’s identity, making it an important lens through which to consider the ongoing changes around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

This event will explore the pace of development in and around Hackney and the park, with a particular focus on how we preserve the area’s cultural identity as it evolves. We are also keen to examine how young people - especially those from Hackney and growth boroughs can meaningfully benefit from these changes and grow alongside them.
