Stories of old Hackney Wick
For many years Hackney Wick was a isolated part of Hackney most people from Hackney had even never visited. Now a trendy and vibrant area of entertainment and recreation and of fast building construction and regeneration. Come and find out it's fascinating history of rapid 19th century urbanisation, industrial world firsts, Victorian slums, blown up tower blocks, public school missionaries, a Georgian astronomer and early balloon flights, and an infamous Victorian murder.
