Established in 1973, the Hackney Singers is a popular community choir, currently with around 140 members, which rehearses and performs mainly in Hackney. Under Musical Director Dan Ludford-Thomas and Assistant Musical Director and répétiteur Andrew Storey, the choir performs two main concerts each year with professional soloists and orchestras, a Christmas carol concert and occasional smaller, special events.
